Horchata?

Who makes a really good, from scratch horchata?

I've tried a couple of places in Barrio Logan, and I think my favorite is probably at Mi Rancho Taco Shop Numero Uno. It's not too sweet, with just the right amount of cinnamon flavor, and they add (from what I"m told) a bit of real Mexican vanilla.

(Bonus points if someone can point out a good Chufa Horchata.)

Maybe El Salvadoreno, the El Salvadoran place at 2800 Imperial Avenue.

Agreed that Salvadorean restaurant horchata is better, and they all make it in-house. I can't say whether one restaurant makes it better than another; all the samples I've had were great.

I don't know if it is made from scratch but I like the one from Mama Testa
