Looking for Sat lunch venue in Melb

Hi all.

I will be in Melbourne in a few weeks to see a show a matinee at Her Majesty's (Exhibition St, near Lonsdale St) and I am looking for a place to have lunch before the 2pm performance. I am hoping to eat about 12pm.

I would prefer something a max 10-15mins walk away from the theatre. Cumulus is the old standby but it would be nice to try something different.

I don't want any Asian food.

I need a place where service is not dragged out due to time constraints but I don't want a basic cafe either.

We found 12:00 noon on a Saturday to be p effect to grab a bar still at Movida. Good for solo dining and snacking - it is also quite quick.

Easy. City Wine Shop on Spring Street. Then just walk down Little Bourke to Exhibition.

I forgot to add that this is a solo visit in the event it makes a difference to any recommendations.

I have no problems eating solo and have yet to experience an issue at restaurants, but just in case... :-)

You could always do San Telmo ... but steak before a matinee?

They do breakfasty brunchy things. You could have some sweetbreads and a gewurz.
