Help! Thanksgiving Buffet in Marin or Sonoma County that stays open past 6 pm

Hi everyone,

I've seen this question posted before in varying degrees, but wanted to get an update on available places.

My parents are flying in to spend Thanksgiving holiday with us in Sonoma County (we live in Petaluma.) Last year, we went to Equus Restaurant at the Fountaingrove for Thanksgiving and it was great. However, they are now limiting their buffet hours this year to 12 to 5 pm and my parents don't get in until 4 pm.

So now we're looking for a new place!

Some requisites:
- Has to be in Marin or Sonoma County
- Has to be a BUFFET (my parents are very blue collar type folks and would prefer a buffet to a fancy 4 course meal)
- Price is not that big an issue, but would STRONGLY PREFER someplace that costs less than $50 p/p
- Has to remain open/serving until at least 6 pm, if not later

Appreciate your suggestions!

  1. Haven't been to this, but Deer Park Villa in Fairfax has a Thanksgiving buffet that starts at 1pm. I called, and she said that you can make reservations to be seated as late as 6:30 or 7pm.

    1. I second Deer Park Villa...we're probably going to eat Thanksgiving dinner there and I'm getting married there next year. It's a beautiful, funky, family owned spot and the buffet is around $40 per person.

        1. not a buffet, but $50 p.p. for locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality -- Mateo's Cocina Latina in Healdsburg will offer a choice of traditional turkey w. chestnut dressiing, or from his own heritage (turkey originally domesticated in mesoamerica), Mayan style with mole blanco, with choices for the other courses and sides. heritage birds and a mix of traditional and Granados' original re-interpretations.
