Custom Built Pizza

I recently went to a new pizza place called Custom Built Pizza at West Flamingo and Grand Canyon. It's in the Target center. You start out with a hand stretched eleven inch crust. You have a choice of four sauces and four cheeses. You can multiple sauces and multiple cheeses. Then you choose your meats and vegetables. You can have as much or as little of each ingredient as you want for $8.95 per pizza. The pizza is then cooked in a wood fire pizza. I've been twice and both times the pizza was excellent. I like that they offer roasted garlic and both raw and sautéed onions. They offer a whole wheat and a gluten free crust for $10.95.

  1. what a jive ass, bullshit "concept!" every time a person goes into a pizzeria, you tell 'em, what toppings you want...give me a f--in break...of course, all that matters is the quality....the place that started this concept is in LA and i enjoyed the first pie i had there..the next 2 suffered from gummy, undercooked crusts...bullllll shitttttttt!

Not sure I understand -- if the first pie you had was good, how do you know that the store in Las Vegas is not?

I think what pizzamaven is saying is that every pizza place custom makes a pie for you. I don't think he understands that the name, "Custom Built Pizza" is just a clever marketing scheme

I've got no horse in this race, but I don't think it's true that you can can ever get this level of customization offered at a pizza place. I've never been offered four different cheeses or been able to say that I want a 1/4 cup of olives and not 1/8 or 1/2. This wouldn't matter to me, because I don't like pizzas with a lot of stuff on them. As the maven says: "of course, all that matters is the quality."
