Petite Maison for late dining
Just thought I'd mention - I accidentally discovered that Petite Maison in Scottsdale does a "staff" menu on Thursday-Friday-Saturday after 10pm. Since so many Phoenix people seem to be in bed by then, I don't know how busy it gets, but I gave it a try.
They serve some of the same appetizers, sides, and desserts as dinner, but they add two special "staff" entrees, changing daily, at markedly cheaper prices, around $15. The food was great and the staff was good-natured, and the only caveat is that two options isn't much if you're picky.
They're at 7216 East Shoeman Lane (480-991-6887 ), just southeast of Camelback and Scottsdale Roads, and I think they'll tell you the night's dishes if you call.

They're generally pretty good about announcing the staff meal offerings via their Twitter feed:
