Not all new posts are appearing on the "Latest Chowound Post" section

Why not enable either mode capability, selectable by the user/poster? You have a similar capability for posters on their profile page list of posts.

...and you did, briefly - so it seemed a day or so ago - and now it is back to sorting by date/time of the first/original post.

This change is now in effect. If you look at the Chowhound homepage, you'll now see a list of all the most recently updated discussions.

Your 6 minute old post is half way down the - what I call The Main Board - (Latest Chowhound Posts) - and sandwiched between a post made 3 hours ago and one made 7 hours ago. Crazy...

I first noticed the flaw at the start of the baseball game last night. The mods can obviously delete at will, but the engineers are surely busy with the big problem. I'm guessing that a flow of posts and feedback on what is or isn't working can be of assistance to them.

The site is clearly experiencing a major malfunction. When the first page of "Latest Chowhound Post" has posts 10 hours old at this time of day, the site is not working. Engineering is obviously aware of the matter.

Are you sure it's not there somewhere? As far as I can see, the section is misnamed. It should be called "latest threads" or "latest topics." It seems to be in reverse chron order by original post, not, in fact, the "latest post".
