anyone know of a candy store in L.A. that makes or sells classic New Orleans style pralines?
While I can't personally recommend them, check out these:
I think Little John's in The Original Farmers Market makes it. They have the best English Toffee, that they make almost daily. I'd give them a call.
I second Littlejohn's. My mother was a praline fanatic. Littlejohn's is a stellar praline.
Say, you wouldn't happen to be don took the actor, would you? If so, we know each other.
Someone who knows me as BOTH an actor AND a Chowhound??......What a coinkydink!!!
Think "Best Little Worehouse" and New Year's day at our house . . . (Say "hey" to L for me.)
At the Altadena Farmer's market there's a food stall selling New Orleans food and he was selling them pralines, although not sure if he made it himself.
