Anyone been to 1500 Ocean lately?
Word is there's a new chef over there with an interesting provenance.
Finally got back to this place last night, and I wonder what took me so damn long.
Quiet, hushed, comfortable chairs, and excellent meals all around. One standout was the carpaccio, and Mr13 had a fantastic filet mignon.
I'm hearing rumors of a new chef over there, but our meal was very, very good without fanfare. Nothing ground-breaking, nothing wild and "fresh, new, our own spin, deconstructed", just competence and quality.
