New Bourbon from Four Roses . . .

FWIW, K&L is offering the following:

Four Roses K&L Exclusive OBSO Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon 750ml, which they describe (in part) as follows:

" . . . our second batch of OBSO (a 60% corn mashbill with a healthy dollup of rye and yeast strain "O"), we were hoping to recreate our previous whiskey, which we lovingly called "the iron fist in a velvet glove." What we got, however, was something far more powerful and out of control than we ever could have imagined. I would refer to this whiskey as "the iron fist that just punched you in the mouth" because this Bourbon is a beast! At 63.3%" abv.

NO affiliation with K&L, other than as a customer. Haven't tasted this either; just presented for your information.

  1. I've 1 or 2 5 roses and liked 'em. However, with so many release of 4 roses, it's hard to keep track, especially when out N about.

    1. Thanks for the info. I am a fan of 4 Roses and particularly the Single Barrel offering. Not sure about something described as an "iron fist that just punched you in the mouth". I heard that the Bay Area is home to the slap in the face massage. Now you can follow-up with a punch in the mouth bourbon.
