Authentic French restaurant in OC?

Is there any reasonably priced authentic French restaurant in OC? Looking for something casual like a bistro. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Gemmell's in Dana Point.

Love Basilic Restaurant on Balboa Island and I guess you could call it reasonable compared to other French places.

Miss Bouzy Rouge Cafe..... THAT was reasonable.

Most would agree that the best French food in the OC is at Marche Moderne (at South Coast Plaza), which might be fancier than you are looking for but does offer some Bistro-style menu items. Brasserie Pascal (at Fashion Island) is probably more what you had in mind, though and is a solid choice with reasonable prices.

Have had only mediocre to poor food at Brasserie Pascal over the last two years.
Service tends toward the lackluster as well.

While far from my favorite (in all senses of the term) the food and service I have received over several visits to BP over the years it has been open has always been fine to good, never poor. Never great, either, alas. Given my druthers, I head to MM instead.

Marche Moderne only could be considered reasonably priced at lunch for the prix fixe deal.

Brasserie Pascal really is nothing special. I think there are far better dining options at FI, though maybe not for French.

Other options to Marche Moderne are Basillic and Pescadou Bistro, though I don't know what you consider reasonable.

Apparently Bleu serves 3 course prix-fixe for $14-20 during lunch. That's pretty darn Parisian.
