Pearl sugar's other uses?

I brought a bag of pearl sugar back from Belgium and my waffle iron has since broken. I'm contemplating getting another...but, in the meantime, what else would pearl sugar be good in? I sort of figure the texture of the pearl sugar would be odd if I just added it into muffins or something. Wondering/hoping someone has used it successfully in some other things!

Holidays are near at hand. Sprinkle it onto holiday cookies.
How about using it in Ebelskivers or Poffertjes?

Top your scones, or cookies. It is a wonderful finishing sugar for any baked good.

Sprinkle it on top of Danish pastries. This one is from Beatrice Ojakangas in Baking With Julia:

It might be good on Dutch Baby.
