Palm Springs on the cheap?

going with the girlfriend to palm springs next weekend, and we're looking for cool, funky places to go that won't be crazy expensive. nothing too steakhouse-y, you know?

any suggestions? thanks!

I almost ate there the other day. I didn't, not because of anything negative. It's pricier than the topic title, though.

We ate at Sherman's Deli twice last month while in Palm Springs and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Cheap, good eats.

China City or City China (something like that) in Palm Desert.

The name / place you mention brings up a place in Goleta.

Let's try again - City Wok in Palm Desert. http://www.citywok.com/locations.php A chain and off-season they had all sorts of half-price specials, even on the wine. It was pretty good. You are in a culinary wasteland so this is good enough.
