If You Ever Get South of the Mason Dixon . . . .

Sorry, had to throw a little Dwight Yoakam in there.
If you are anywhere near the Great Smoky Mountain National Park - you HAVE to visit Guayabitos in Bryson City, NC. (just west of Cherokee and the southern entrance to the Smokies.) It's the best Mexican I've ever had and beyond that the service is impeccable. I posted a more in-depth review on the Y! Travel site. http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide... My mother-in-law was too immersed in a football game to pay attention to her veggie fajita but my father-in-law is quite thrilled!
I also recommend Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge. Service is more hit n' miss and the food is thick, traditional Southern style, but I'd skip breakfast and only try their lunch and dinner. Their ribeye is consistently great, and though I'd love more corn in their fritters they're still awfully tasty.
