Di Fara's private parties

Just a heads up. We went for our annual dinner at Di Fara's last night–Thursday (pizza is not exactly health food, so our intake is limited), only to discover that they were closed for a private party. Dom's daughter was very apologetic, but the reality was no pizza that evening. I guess a phone call in order before going.

Since were in the neighborhood, we ended up at Purple Yam and had a very good dinner so all was not lost.

Become a "friend" of DiFara's on Facebook and you'll get regular messages about private parties, late openings, early closings, etc. Apparently, the private party thing on Thursdays will be a regular feature of life at DiFara's.

I could be pretty into throwing a private party at Dom's place - i wonder how many people he can feed and over what span of time, you know, given his rather glacial pace.
