Crabmeat Cheesecake or Shrimp/Alligator Sausage Cheesecake?

For those of you that have had both, the Crabmeat Cheesecake at Palace Cafe and the Shrimp/Alligator Sausage Cheesecake at Jacques-Imo’s, which did you find better and why? I am serious about trying one or the other next trip but can't decide which! Thanks.

Last time I went to Jacques Imos I ordered it and it never came. Too much of a zoo for my liking unless you can get the table in the window next to the bar. And to be honest the Palace Cafe cheesecake was cold, not even room temperature. There are better options out there, but I don't know who has a savory cheesecake consistantly on their menu. They may be out there I just dn't know.

Have not had either, but am curious as to why you want to limit yourself to just one. You are travelling to the city of excess...try them both :-)

I thought someone would say that after I posted it TaTee. :-) Truth is, I'm not really interested in going to Jacques-Imo's, (no reservations, distance), so I'd have to be convinced that I'd enjoy it more than the one that would be easy to have at Palace Cafe.

Have lunch at the Palace Cafe, try theirs. Get on the St. Charles streetcar. Stop at the Columns Hotel for a mid afternoon libation. Get back on the streetcar, St. Charles Avenue turns into South Carrollton Avenue... get off on Oak Street. Walk the 4 or so blocks to Jacques-Imo's and get the other. If you are there at opening time, you will not have a wait. Depending on the day of the week, you might find some interesting music next door at the Maple Leaf or if you want a quiet drink, walk back toward Carrollton Avenue and stop in at Oak Wine Bar...good food and great atmosphere.
TAKE A CAB back to your hotel.
