need place for tonight--what best atmosphere ethnic?

janie Oct 17, 2012 12:31 PM

Looking to take a visitor from france for dinner--need a place that's nice in decor and clean --with good food that's not too expensive--would prefer ethnic cuisine..she does not want middle eastern food at all, and thai would work, or chinese, but not crazy spicy either--don't want to go to spicy and tasty--anywhere in queens is fine...might go to greek place in whitestone..but thinking of some other options as well...thanks for some current info...also, don't want danny brown type place either with nouveau or little tiny portions....thanks..

I recommend going to either BKNY or Mulan. BKNY has decent atmosphere and their banana leaf wrapped fish is stellar, their crab fried rice is quite good, short ribs excellent. Mulan has the best atmosphere and cleanliness of any Chinese restaurant in Queens, their tea flavored bass is wonderful, pea shoots with garlic, lion's head meatballs with crab.

Not sure if this is too late but you should be dining at Phayul
