Taverna di Bacco (Ludlow St.)
I walked by this Lower East Side restaurant the other day. It has an enormously appealing look and a lovely back garden. Has anyone been? I'm looking for feedback.
Was just there on Saturday! We had reservations somewhere else and they ran out of food (!) so we ended up here. Everyone was so nice! I had octupus ragu with pasta and bf had lamb ragu...both fantastic. Lots of great bread and good fruity olive oil....had prosecco but they seemed to have a nice wine list....i live in the neighborhood and had never been there before. We would definitely go back. hope that helps
Thanks so much for your response. It was totally off my radar and I thought it looked promising. I like to patronize places like this that don't have the PR machines of Danny Meyer or Andrew Carmellini (although, admittedly, I'm a big fan of their restaurants as well) and often get overlooked.
If anyone else has been, I'd love other feedback.
I went over the weekend. It's not going to change your life, but I thought the food was delicious. I had the Ragu napoletano and the scamorza salad. Benn thinking about the ragu ever since. Reasoanble wine list. Recommend.
