Shanghai Seafood Village No. 1 vs. Shanghailander Palace

This is more of a decor report than a food report. If Shanghailander Palace spent a lot of money on decor I'm not sure where it went. Nice picture of Shanghai and interior neon sign on the walls, but nothing fancy pants compared to the brothel ambience of Shanghai Seafood Village No 1. But Shanghailander Palace does have the neatest onion pancakes I've ever seen. They look like small danish rolls, with the center section being the soft onion pancake interior. Shanghailander Palace is at 1695 S. Azusa Ave. in Hacienda Heights, previous home to Fake Little Sheep and Wu Gee Bistro.

That's the perfect name for a restaurant, because "There can be only one! "

With a name like Shanghailander Palace, I wonder if they are serving any Chinese malt whisky.
