Where can I purchase seitan and / or tempeh in the S. Bay area?

Am wanting to eat vegetarian a few times a week so luckily I already like tofu. Would like to add wheat gluten products that I can prepare to emulate the texture of meat proteins. TIA.

I am pretty sure that Berkeley Bowl has a range of products, and I'm sure that Rainbow Grocery in SF would too.

Whole Foods and Ranch 99 are my go to places for those products.

j, what part of the store is it located in @ 99 Ranch? Is it close to the tofu, noodles, or vegetarian refrigerated section, or freezer? How is it packaged? BTW which location do you find yours?

The tempeh is in the freezer section of the 99 Ranch I usually go to (Richmond). I haven't paid much attention to seitan, but I know it can be found in many varieties in cans/jars. I imagine they also have refrigerated and dried seitan, but can't vouch for it.

At Ranch 99 the wheat gluten products are usually near the tofu, but there are frozen items too. I don't remember about tempeh; I've usually bought that at WF. I go to Concord Ranch 99, but I've been in others and they seem pretty uniform.

TJs has Tempeh and Whole foods has both I think and most groceries have them too.
