Michelin Guide 2013 results for Kansai - Mizai, Hajime, Tsuruya dropped from 3 stars

Mizai is moving from its Murayama park location. Hajime in Osaka and Tsuruya in Kyoto are now 2* restaurants. No new 2 stars.

  1. It is the first time 3 stars have been downgraded, outside of store actually closing.. . this 2013 version seems to have some big changes, like the Michelin on the web for the english version. If it is free, that will be a revolution, you can scroll the restaurant with the maps, no more need to take your book and then do the search. With a free online access, that would be perverse to not use, and I assume it will become so easy to use that one cannot live without it. waouh !!

Yes, I heard the english version will not be published in book form, but available online for free.

Hamadaya was also downgraded in 2010 (but got the 3rd star back the next year).

    2. Is Mizai open in its new location yet? Any website or contact info? Thanks.

It has moved to a new location nearby, still in Maruyama park.
