Anyone been to the new DeCicco's in Harrison (where Food City used to be)? The area (Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Harrison, rye) is in serious need of a good solid supermarket (A&P and Stop& Shop not cutting it, and Whole Foods is really expensive and kinda far). Anyone been yet?

Yep, quite big with a whole wall of beer, a butcher shop with dry aged meat (saw your other post), a large cheese selection, lots of in-store made sushi, a bakery, fish monger, and lots of aisles. Give it a try and see what you think.

I've been - too frequently I have to say. It's a nice, upscale grocery with lots of organics, natural and healthier selections. A lot of prepared food, a nice bakery, good meat selections including Bell and Evans, local foods, etc. It's a bit pricey on some items, not on others. It's not Whole Foods and not Fairway but it's definitely a great addition to the 'hood.

I think its a great addition to the area. Awesome beer selection and a pretty great gluten free section. Id say it's not as good as whole foods but saves you the trip to white plains if you needed a few things. They had a nice salad bar and hot food take out ( pay by the pound) section as well.
