Grass-fed steaks

Josh Oct 14, 2012 06:29 PM

My wife and I have learned that we occasionally do need to eat some meat. Our preference for these very rare occasions (no pun intended) is to eat only grass-fed beef. We had a very tasty steak a couple of nights ago at Bluestem Brasserie, but it'd be nice to have some other alternatives. Are there places in the city known for offering this? I've tried searching via the websites of purveyors, but that doesn't seem to be accurate.

Would love any suggestions, thanks.

Alfred's and Lark Creek Steak both have one grass-fed option on their menus.

      That's big news!

Nopa has grass-fed steak 2 or 3 nights a week; I think something like Tues, Wed, possibly Thurs, but check first.

Inside Scoop reports that Chez Panisse Cafe is offering a grass-fed steak, fried onion rings, watercress salad, and glass of Zinfandel for $25 after 9:30pm, Monday through Thursday. They're open until 10:30 those nights.
