Has anyone out there been to the Chinese restaurant Mon Jin Lau in Troy MIchigan? I'm going to a dinner there tommorow night.

The Peking Duck is decent. This is not a place that Asians frequent, except for divorcees seeking a sugar daddy (not that it's really expensive).

By Sunday the drink throwers and car thieves should be gone: http://www.theoaklandpress.com/articl...

The valet theft was on another www.oakpress.com article. But, you should be okay....

For appetizers, I like the mussels in black bean sauce, chili pepper squid, and their crab cakes. The squid is very tender... they really do a nice job on that.

For entrees, I like the Spicy Seafood Noodles (shrimp, scallops, lobster, asparagus and other vegetables in a black bean sauce served over pan fried thin egg noodles), the crispy beef, and barbecued duck in garlic chives.

It sounds like the drink throwing incident ocurrred late wednesday night/early Thursday morning. Wednesday Night is "Shanghai Night" at Mon Jin Lau, where they have a DJ and dancing. It's a pick 'em up night there and it sounds like some got carried away with the drinking.

I just got back from dinner. I tried the Spicy Seafood Noodles as recomended. It was good, (but could of used more lobster and shrimp.)

It was a dinner for twelve. My mom and my stepfather were ticked because their food came about ten minutes after every else at the table were served, (to be fair they discounted the meal.)

My car was okay and I didn't see anybody throw a drink, (but they cheered when the Tigers won.) Apart from the late food everyone at the table seemed happy.
