Gimme Steak!

I feel like a good, semi-swanky blow out steak dinner for my birthday this year. We'll probably go either mid-week or odd hours on the weekend. It looks like the best options are Capital Grille (Burlington, if that makes a difference) or Abe and Louie's. Suggestions otherwise and for what to order are welcome and eagerly solicited.
Thanks in advance.

I prefer Oak Room, chateau briand for 2 is just outstanding. Grill 23 wuold be my next choice then A&L. Cap Grille in Burlingtron, if that proximity is better for you, has free parking.

Oak Room was my first choice, actually, but I thought it was closed for renovations. When did it reopen?

now it's the Oak Long Bar with a different limited menu including a steak entree. I'd call and see if they could accommodate a few entree requests.

I prefer L'Andana in Burlington to Cap Grille if you're staying outside the city. L'Andana steak and a side of pasta bolognese is one of my favorite gorges. I'll 3rd Grill 23 - I've always been treated like royalty there and their non-steak dishes are nearly as good as their steaks. Note that Grill 23 is very loud - if you want quiet you need to request a quieter table.

Excellent idea. L'Andana for steak and Bolognese sounds perfect.

Well, it depends on what kind you like! If you're in a french mood (steak frites), try Gaslight or Petit Robert. Abe and Louies is good, as is Cap Grille. Just depends on what you want!

Can't go wrong with Abe & Louis, but Mooo and Grill 23 are both excellent options.
