Aversano's in Brewster

There's not much quality up that way, and Aversano's has hardly been mentioned here, but I stopped in for a chicken parm roll, and it left me a little weak-kneed. Chicken parm rolls are nearly commoditized at this point, ala silicon chips or soybeans, but this one had fluffy ricotta, real chicken flavor, perfectly rationed mozzarella, and even the bread was fluffy/crusty good (who ever heard of good bread in a chicken parm roll?).

Menu looks good. Dining room is maybe the sleekest (in a good way) I've ever seen in a generic shopping strip pizza/pasta joint.

I want to go back (Decicco's is a frequent destination for their great beer bar). What else should I try? And is there anything else good in this immediate area, which I know little about, being in a weird little no-man's-land north of 84 yet nowhere near Pawling?

Oh, I love Big W, but that's nowhere near here!

I did notice the movie theater drugstore, tried to fathom it, failed, shrugged, and drove home.

I just deleted the post because I realize you are way below. Google maps said 15 minutes I must have done something wrong??? The movie theater is a riot.

          15 mins @55 mph up 22, maybe.

Ha, It seems not that far to me, but we are usually heading up from lower Westchester. So, once we get up to the movie theater/drug store/chicken parm roll destination we feel like we are home free. Corky might have a few suggestions!
