NCC-1701 Pizza Cutter
Another interesting design.
Some would apparently prefer seeing it framed on a wall, than put it to practical use.
A review of sorts, apparently by looking at photos:
Note: No one in this review has any practical experience using this tool. It would be very good if a Pizzeria in Chicago, New York, or Napoli would have some of the actual staff try these out and review them, rather than " Cooks."
" Prometheus " comes to mind for some reason tonight.
Someone posted about this thing not that long ago. I initially thought it cut by rocking, but the blade actually turns within the handle like a wheel.
Since the time of that original posting, I had a chance to handle one in a store. It's heavy and well-made, and I'm sure would work well. The shop owner rolled her eyes when I asked about disassembling it for cleaning. I think it may have a better place waiting for it in a design museum than in kitchens.
