New Opening Delray - Voodoo BBQ

  • 6

Looks like there is a new opening coming to Delray beach in February called Voodoo BBQ. It's a small chain based out of New Orleans. It's going into where Sonoma was on east Atlantic Ave, just in font of Hurricane Lounge. It seems like a good spot as the location has a surprisingly large outside area.

Here are the details: http://voodoobbqfranchiseblog.com/201...

They're also opening up some other South Florida locations. This could be a nice addition to the ave as there are currently no other bbq restaurants, though I've never had Voodoo BBQ so don't know much about the food. I'd be curious to hear from others who may have tried it.

  1. FreakerDude....and I will get there sooner or later......And its always fun to try and review new BBQ places.....Brother Jimmy's in downtown Miami has been a pleasant surprise.....and Sparky's is solid too.....

    1. I drive to Boca everyday from PB Gardens so I can try it any time. But two words that have always failed me are bbq and chain. Real deal BBQ is an art and the process quickly gets lost or is sacrificed in expansions.

Truer words never written FD......Most folks don't really realize that BBQ is an art.....It takes time....it takes feel....and understanding of what happens with meat during the process.....And it's difficult to teach people how to do it over and over and over.....in a restaurant setting.....They're doing it right at certain restaurants like Sparky's Roadside and Brother Jimmy's in Miami....World BBQ champ Myron Mixon is opening a place in the fashion district (or there abouts) but I have my doubts about this establishment.....as Myron lives in Georgia and I don't see him spending alot of time in South Florida....given his competition and TV appearance schedule.....

I live in PBG but work in Boca on weekdays, so I really don't have a chance to get there on a weekend.

Hey Sam, any more information on this truck? Hours? What is your opinion? Is it better then the Q at Bedner's?
