Recommend a restaurant for a 40th birthday dinner in San Francisco or local area?

Can anyone recommend a great restaurant for a group of 8-10 people to celebrate a 40th birthday? Can be either in SF or close by. Looking for outstanding food and great (not stuffy) atmosphere. Thanks!

    Perbacco, Kokkari. Zero Zero is more casual but still nice and very good food.
