    like Paul Martin's on Rosecrans.

The Strand House has an ocean view.

MB Post is open for lunch only on Fridays (and brunch Sat & Sun).

But my favroite of all is Petros and their wonderful Greek food. Save room for their Loukouma,
Baby Greek doughnuts drizzled with Grrek honey, cinnamon, toasted walnuts and vanilla ice cream.

On Manhattan Beach Blvd almost at the Pier. They also have a location at LA Live.

Once you mentioned LA Live, then I said to myself, forget it.

Can anyone add any updates to the recommendations below? I'm sorry to see that The Strand House is closed for lunch on Mondays. With the view and atmosphere, it looked exactly waht I was looking for.

So far, it looks like Paul Martin's, Tin Roof Bistro, and Rock and Fish would fit more what we're looking for. We are heading out of LAX on an late afternoon flight and wanted a nice lunch with cocktails and an american/california type lunch. We'll be travelling abroad and I figured we'd need a little local flavor as we'll be eating rather exotically for the next week plus.

Any additional lunch suggestions for Monday would be appreciated. Thank you!

You might try the new and wonderful fish shack "Fishing with Dynamite" from the MB Post people just next door. Fresh seafood, small plates and raw bar open daily at 11:30am. Wonderful food and service.

Cool. I was originally interested in MB Post, but was disappointed they usually weren't open for lunch. Any idea if they take reservations?

Yes. Fishing with Dynamite does take reservations on both Open Table and by phone.

I went to FwD for lunch yesterday - excellent food, high noise level. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Uncle Bill's breakfast and lunch is the best!

No cocktails at Uncle Bill's but a great breakfast can still be found there.

Bummer. We were definitely looking for cocktails.
