Haribo ginger-lemon!

A package of Haribo ginger-lemon gummies caught my eye at Walgreens this morning. Since there's no way I would have overlooked them for long, I concluded they must be new, and an article confirmed they were just introduced in the US in September. Package says "Manufactured for Haribo of America/Made in Austria by Haribo Austria."

Anyway, if you like ginger, and you like lemon gummies, you will like these. I think the flavor is really well-balanced between the ginger and the lemon.

Anyone else tried these?

I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the ginger flavor in these, and as I torn open the corner of the bag powerful ginger aroma wafted out. Very nice.

I did notice that all the Haribo gummies were the same price ($1.89), but every other flavor comes in a 5 oz bag, while the ginger-lemon are 4 oz. That's okay, I don't need extra candy...

We got some of these yesterday (thanks to this post) and they are awesome. Unfortunately the bag lasted about 10 minutes ... nice gingery tasted with a lemon aftertaste. I assume the coating is crystalized ginger or is it just sugar?

I think it's just sugar. I had the exact same experience with the ginger upfront and the nice clean lemon aftertaste. And yeah, my bag didn't last long, either.

Ruth, try melting a few in a cup of hot lemon or ginger tea-nice kick.
