Went to matinee at Pantages yesterday. We went to Hungry Cat at Sunset and Vine after the theatre. It was a great choice. We arrived around 4:00 and dinner service started at 4:30. We were hungry so we decided to not wait and went for the Bar menu. Lobster rolls, Pug Burger, Oysters, cocktails. Nice patio seating. Fine, friendly service. We decided to drive to the restaurant from the Pantages. Others, apparently, walked as there were many many people walking in still clutching their Playbills.

Cleo - Mediterranean small dishes and entrees
Plusses: Massive menu so if you have picky eaters, they should be able to find something, much larger restaurant, so you might have a better chance to get a table.
Minues: Massive menu with hits and misses, loud, kind of scene-y.

Wood & Vine - American food and charcuterie
Pluses: Small menu and all the dishes are pretty well prepared, smaller restaurant, quieter. Nice back patio. Nice selection of whiskeys and bourbons.
Minuses - Very small menu, so check it first to see if you're in the mood for that kind of food. Limited selection of booze except whiskeys and bourbons.
