We will be in Myrtle Beach around Christmas
and are looking for Restaurannts that serve local
Comfort Foods

    You might want to provide more detail on your definition of "local comfort foods". Also, if you do a search, you'll find many existing threads on MB, such as:

      local comfort food such as Shrimp and Grits, She Crab Soup,The wonderful side dishes of the south, Frogmore Stew, Peanut dishes,All local Seafood etc.

        Try Russell's in Murrells Inlet. But be aware MB ain't Charleston.

            Well,I can't add too much since my two favorite spots were mentioned in the last two posts.

            For what its worth,we have spent a week a year at 82ave north for the last nine years,trying everything we could (usually on someone else's nickel).There is just about nothing between 82ave N and the surfside city limit going south.Go south young man,go south.

            I have heard some positive things about Dave's Dockside in MI lately.We gave up on them when they tore down the old building.Maybe its time to try it again.

              capt daves is just as good if not better than when the old building was there.....food and service is always tops

      Also be aware: it will be oyster season. Shrimp season won't start until spring.
