Post-Theatre dessert?

I'm taking my daughter (turning 13), and a friend for a night in nyc for her birthday next weekend. We are seeing Wicked, and it should be over around 10:15-10:30ish. Lokking for suggestions for dessert...our hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn West 35th, I would prefer a place not too far out from there.

Unfortunately, the girls might find Japanese desserts too weird.

But if they wouldn't, Kyotofu is delicious, in the general area, and open very late -- well past midnight.

You could also have dessert at the Modern Bar Room which is a few blocks from the theater,

The Bar Room at the Modern also closes at 11 on weekends, so despite its proximity it would be very tight. (I wouldn't bet on their seating you if you ran in at 10:50 or :55, either.)

The NoMad on 28th and Broadway has incredible desserts. Perhaps you could call and ask whether they will let you order just desserts if you have a late reservation? I think they are open until 11 pm on weekends.

I don't know how that would be doable. The NoMad does indeed close at 11 and Wicked runs 2 1/2 hours with an additional 15 minute intermission. which means that they won't even be leaving the theater until 10:45.

The John Dory Oyster Bar (a block up from The NoMad) serves until midnight. They have a few desserts. Probably very crowded late on a weekend night, though. And maybe not so great for girls in their early teens.
