Where have all the Hydrox cookies gone?

I always preferred them to oreos. Haven't seen them in ages.

Wasn't the deal with Hydrox that they were "kosher" and Oreos were not? I liked Hydrox better too. Seemed, though, that Oreos are sweeter now than they were years ago. Anyone else feel that way? Anyone try Joe-Joes? (at Trader Joes)

Hydrox were first and they were kosher. When Keebler bought the brand, they destroyed Hydrox in an attempt to mimic Oreo (Oreo had a fluffier filling, while Hydrox had a deeper chocolate flavor).

I loved Hydrox, too. They were so much better than Oreo. I also remember the milder chocolate sandwich cookies with the chocolate filling as well. I think they were Keebler as well.
