Huevos Rancheros on Cape Cod - Hangar B, Where Else

Holy smoke, what was I thinking. I took my daughter's friend , a chef (from out of town) to Hangar B today. We arrived at 10:40 and were seated minutes to 12!! It was worth the wait. Everyone was in good spirits, we had a lovely chocolate croissant on the outdoor deck with views of the comings and goings of this cute little airport. The sun was out and it was a glorious day. The waitresses are amazing. Chef Erskine spins out a solid menu that is creative and fresh and exciting. Today's special was a roasted tomato VT cheddar Arugula omelette and cauliflower truffle soup. I went with the Huevo Rancheros and Chef had the hash. OMGOSH..I never had the Huevo Rancheros. SUBLIME with warmed tortillas, homemade re fried beans, a roasted tomato, fresh avocado and fluffy scrambled eggs bathed in a lovely salsa verde. SUPREME WIN. The fresh OJ glass keeps getting smaller and smaller but I am still a fan.
I agree that their huevos rancheros are sublime.....yes the wait can be a bit excruciating there. Strangely, they won't seat parties larger than 2 on the deck. Last time we were there, the deck was COMPLETELY empty and they still made us wait for a table inside. There were only 3 of us and we would have been happy sitting outside, but NO! Grrrr.........
My wife & I also had breakfast at Hangar B this past Sunday. We arrived an hour before you and waited an hour to eat. We were served coffee on the deck and were content to wait because the food is so delicious. As we waited, I noticed that they were not seating empty tables as quickly as they could have. I suspect that it was done intentionally, as to not stress the Chef, which is fine with me.
