I"m coming to Atlanta with limited time to eat but need to get in one great meal near the Savannah College of Art & Design. Any recs for vegetarian friendly restaurants in that neighborhood?

    R. Thomas, Sufi's, La Pietra Cucina are all quite close. LPC used to be GREAT but not sure now that they've switched things up. I suspect it's still good but just haven't heard yet. The other 2 are also solid choices.

      R. Thomas is about half a mile from there and will offer great vegetarian options.

Well thanks for that, since I'm vegetarian. Will be traveling with a coworker who isn't but am always happy to find a place where I can eat more then 10% of the menu. R. Thomas looks like the spot.

Your coworker won't be disappointed - I'm not vegetarian and I've always enjoyed the food there. The chicken is very good, but it's the sides that I always go for.

Sorry. SCAD Atlanta is at 1600 Peachtree St. near the High Museum and Woodruff Arts Center.

Here is a previous thread with some good suggestions:

A few blocks further south, at 10th Street, is Empire State South which is excellent.
