Where's the best apple pie pref north of Boston. Can be slice or whole.. dine in or take out..
Missed getting a piece of pie at the TOpsfield Fair and have been craving some since. Can eat it in a restaurant, or take from store, farm or bakery.. Whats your pref in pie type ? Prob these days people tend to go for firm apples and lots of spices but I actually prefer simple.. just a little cinnamon and sugar.. more pinkish than brownis.. and a softer apple. I will prob be back at the Fair.. is it any good there or is elsewhere better? Ones I have liked in past were a pie we have found at Canaan Farm and Lynnfield Deli from Maine, i think called Orchard Hill. Great delicate crust, and last yr enjoyed Beans Coffee shop and bakery in Wayland.

re: Bob Dobalina
+1 for Petsi - hers are the only pies I'll buy. Otherwise, homemade!

I really like the pie at Tendercrop in Newbury, Mass. I prefer the raspberry, but I understand the apple is quite good as well.

yup, sorry i forgot the yummy verrill apple crumb pie. shame on me forgetting since close relative works there! Also was in Wayland so stopped at Beyond Beans and had a slice and it was still great!Very tender crust. And had a halfmoon cookie which was the best we ever had.. Where is Tendercrop in Newbury? Is it the one up a couple miles on right from the 95 exit?

Verrill Farms has really delicious pies. Great flavor with crunchy sweet toppings. It's in Concord.
