We're just back from Bloom, 2315 Bloor St West, 416.767.1315, www.bloomrestaurant.com

They have a TASTE OF ARGENTINA $25 dinner running to Nov 3rd.
It is 3 courses, with PROVOLETTA (Grilled Provolone and Chimichurri Pesto) on toast, or
EMPANADA & Salsa Criolla. For mains, there is ASADO (Grilled Flat Iron Steak, Wild Boar Sausage, Chicken, Sweetbreads, Roasted Potatoes & Grilled Vegetables Salad) which was generous with the meat and flavoursome, or MAR DEL PLATA FISHERMEN FIESTA (Grilled mixed Seafood & Vegetables, tonight with salmon, calamari, shrimp, scallop, and it varies from day to day).

Desserts were TORTA GALESA (Patagonian Cake & Cream) or NATILLA (Pumpkin creme brulee & Alfajores).

Good value, although alcohol could be pricey (choose wisely). We did have to wait a long time for the entrees (this was Fri night), but we got comped some wine. Coming in November: Taste of Colombia

I went to Bloom a couple of years ago when it was a steak frites type bistro, now it's a nuevo latino restaurant. Has anyone one else been since the change in chef?

Indeed, I believe the chef is Cuban. Went with friends and we all had excellent meals, I had a bouillabaisse with a lovely Latin twist. Chef is definitely on his game.
