Mushroom Pâté

  • 8

Looking for a great mushroom (has to be vegetarian) pâté I can get for a wedding shower I'm hosting.
Any suggestions?

  1. Try the co-ops and also Surdyk's.

    1. I don't have any personal experience, but this sounds like something Heartland (the deli) would have and would probably be fantastic.

      1. Surdyk's does not have a mushroom, I will try Heartland. For anyone else that reads this post in the future, Beaujo's in Edina does have one on their menu.

          Try Kowalski's or Lund's yet?

Birdhouse has one on their menu. Fungi Perfecti.com or Earthy.com might sell one. I'm a bit of a mushroom nerd / forager, I'll see if anyone knows anything.

        2. The Wedge makes several mentions of different types of mushroom pates on their website.

          1. The Eastside Coop has a delicious walnut-something (possibly mushroom?) spread in a half-pint plastic tub. It's a bit "softer" than a pate, but is still in the pate category. Sorry I'm so vague - I had it once a few months ago. I've been meaning to go back there for more.

Thank you! I ended up ordering some from Kowalskis, so I'll report back if it's any good!

Please do, and I'd be interested to know if they specify types, if anything exotic is used.
