What's the scoop? Looking at the website, not wowed by presentation or menu. Why is it exploding as a chain? Just a need for more sandwich shops? Typical demographics? Do tell.

Personally, I like Mr. Pickes. The individual ingredients are a step above, and I think that makes a better sandwich. The sourdough bread is chewy and really sour. The sandwiches are huge, which most people love, but it would be nice if they offered smaller sizes. The garlic sauce is a unique condiment that differentiates them from the Togo's and Subway's.

pretty much this. its just a higher quality subway. its nothing spectacular, but a nice "local" deli type shop.
