Favorite dish with corn?

What's everyone's favorite dish in town either featuring or containing corn? Anything goes: apps, sides, entrees, desserts, drinks... My sister just released a book called "I Love Corn" and will be visiting for ACL, I want to take her somewhere new to try some "corny" food. The more unique/unusual/creative the better, and preferably nothing north of downtown (I live south by Stassney). Thanks hounds!

I prefer Opie's variant, "spicy corn", which is a creamed corn with diced jalapeños.

Nope, next to Uchiko's Sweet Corn dessert, it's my favorite corn in the world. I am both high-brow and low :)

You can always grab a frito pie or some tamales (I love the huge Tamal Valluno at Casa Columbia). A little more adventurous is the Frijol Con Seco served at the Peruvian restaurant La Chaparrita in the Highland Mall food court. Basically it's beef cooked in a fermented corn beer called Chicha de Jora and served with rice.

Weekend breakfast at Hoover's Cooking on Manor road has a couple of excellent choices. Try the chicken and cakes dish with fried chicken and 2 hoe cakes or my favorite, the rich and savory grits covered in shrimp etouffee.

Cream corn at Bangers. It's more like corn with cream, but it is delicious.

Seconded. It's corn sorbet, polenta custard, caramel salt, lemon gelee, and cornmeal "soil" (and I think sometimes popcorn on top?) and it's absolutely fantastic.

Good suggestion, we've been to Uchi a bunch, not yet to Uchiko.
