Best bagels in West Village/SoHo?

I rarely eat bagels and other than Murrays or Bagels on the Square, I haven't tried any bagel shops in the West Village/SoHo area. I have a guest in town from Europe and would like her to sample some good NY bagels. What are my best options in SoHo or the West Village?

I used to walk to Hudson Bagels at Hudson and Christopher. Crackly outside, chewy inside. Although I also second the recommendation for Corner Cafe if you're willing to make the trek.

Very good bagels at Gourmet Garage on Seventh Ave. South near Sheridan Square. Slightly chewy, not too puffy, among my favorites.

If the above two are really the only options, you may as well just go to the Murray's at 6th Ave and 12th St

Whose bagels does Dean and Deluca carry? They must have something decent, no?

Also, there is a Gourmet Garage in Soho. - 453 broome.

I'm not loyal to Gourmet Garage for much else but their bagels are really outstanding -- much better IMO than Dean & Deluca.

Drought conditions for good bagels in the village. I go to Corner Cafe at 6th Ave and 24th St for the best chewy bagels.
