Barcelona Sarrià-St. Gervasi
I am traveling to Barcelona next week for 5 days.
I'll be staying in the Sarrià-St. Gervasi area.
I want to avoid tourist traps and super high end global places.
I did some research on this board and see a lot of posts for '24', Quimet, Gelonch, and some tapa crawls.
Any other recommendations for the Sarrià-St. Gervasi area (tapas etc..)?
We often stay with friends in Sarria, a terrific area. Lots of neighborhood places on the main street of Mayor de Sarria, beginning on carrer d'Ivorra. Bar Tomas is always packed in the evenings. Try El Coc, Foix, El Vell on that street, plus many more. Canet on c/Canet is very good.
Two excellent, though very different, restaurants in Sarrià are Tram-Tram — contemporary Catalan and an excellent (but realistically priced) wine list; and el Vell Sarrià — traditional Catalan, and probably the best rice dishes in Barcelona.
(Oh, and BTW — in català it's moltes gracies)
