Barcelona Sarrià-St. Gervasi

I am traveling to Barcelona next week for 5 days.
I'll be staying in the Sarrià-St. Gervasi area.
I want to avoid tourist traps and super high end global places.
I did some research on this board and see a lot of posts for '24', Quimet, Gelonch, and some tapa crawls.
Any other recommendations for the Sarrià-St. Gervasi area (tapas etc..)?

  1. Great neighborhood! Although not in Sarria, Can Marti is nearby. I would not expect that you would find any tourists there. It is for a full meal, not tapas, and we enjoyed it very much. I wrote about it in my dining report from 2011.

    1. We often stay with friends in Sarria, a terrific area. Lots of neighborhood places on the main street of Mayor de Sarria, beginning on carrer d'Ivorra. Bar Tomas is always packed in the evenings. Try El Coc, Foix, El Vell on that street, plus many more. Canet on c/Canet is very good.

        PBSF, muchisimas gracias!
I am looking forward to checking some of these places out.

      2. Two excellent, though very different, restaurants in Sarrià are Tram-Tram — contemporary Catalan and an excellent (but realistically priced) wine list; and el Vell Sarrià — traditional Catalan, and probably the best rice dishes in Barcelona.
(Oh, and BTW — in català it's moltes gracies)
        Enjoy Barcelona.

Thanks again for everyone's replies. My hotel ended up being in the Gracia district off of Carrer de Balmes instead of Sarria like I thought.
We had a wonderful paella at Vell Sarria.
          Here is my trip report.
