ISO Apple Caramel Cheesecake recipe

Sooeygun Oct 3, 2012 06:43 AM

I'm looking for a recipe for apple caramel cheesecake. I looked around online and found so many of the recipes called for canned apple pie filling. And I found a Bobby Flay recipe which is close to what I want. I'll be able to combine and adapt the ones I found, but wondered if anyone has a recipe they like.

I've made this one before, and it was very good: http://www.annies-eats.com/2009/10/26...

      OMG Ms. Chocolatechipkt----this looks FABULOUS!

      Couple of questions for you:
**Did you use toasted pecans (I mean for the base; I'd use toasted to sprinkle on top for sure.)
**Did you use Granny Smith apples?

I think I am going to make this next week for a meeting.

I made this a few years ago, so I'm trying to remember now (and I didn't note all the details on my blog, sadly.) I made this for Thanksgiving, so it's quite likely I used Granny Smith apples (we like them in the stuffing, so they're probably what was around in large quantities.) Toasted pecans in the base would make sense, since they're not going to get toasty on their own inside--but I can't remember for sure. It was very good, though. :)
