ISO Flour Torillas

I used to be able to buy nice flour torillas in the fridge section of my No Frills. No longer and can't find them at any grocery store.

Any suggestions on where to buy (live in Etobicoke) would be much appreciated.

  1. Any large Dempster selection, such as Costco or Giant Tiger.
There is also a Detroit made pack at some Pan Asian stores; I can't remember the Mexican name, but it's useful if I want a choice of refrigerated flour or corn tortillas.

jayt90, I think La Jalisciense is the Detroit company that sells its corn (and possibly flour) tortillas on this side of the border. I get them in Windsor at a Jamaican-run store that also carries a variety of Caribbean, pan-Hispanic and African foods.

Hi, what's the name of the store? I live in Windsor and find Dempster's tortillas pretty bland.

    2. Not sure of your location but Longos might be near by, the one near me makes them fresh in house which are decent and much better than the large company bagged ones that Ive tried.

Those are OK but not significantly better than the usual type available everywhere. Have you ever tried DIY?

      2. Last time I was at Rowe Farms on Roncesvalles Ave, there was a samples booth set up selling organic tortillas (both corn and flour). The sample person and I both agreed the flour one was actually fairly good. Don't remember the name of the brand but you can get it in the fridge on the left side when you enter the store FYI.
