Chilly with a chance of Raclette
Yep, it's fall in Paris -- the wild game has started to appear in the markets, I saw the first (pretty anemic-looking, but there!) cêpes, and the supermarket was clearing out big chunks of shelf space and starting to fill up the stocks of reblochon and raclette.
The cold-weather dishes are sure to make their appearance soon, too -- Provencal daube, boeuf bourgignonne, cassoulet -- all the food to warm body and soul that France excels at.
The next few days are supposed to be damp and chilly -- so the first raclettte of the season is going to taste pretty good.
