Has anyone noticed that OP asked for monday brunch recs? I'm actually curious myself as to whether or not any of these places do weekday brunch. In my experience, most certainly don't

I don't know anyplace that does Monday brunch, you're right.

But there's Mike and Patty's, Paramount, Charlie's etc

We actually tried to go to Mike & Patty's on Saturday and were disappointed to discover that they are on some sort of unexplained hiatus. The place was "closed until further notice." It appears that this has been going on for almost a month. We called the shop's number and the outbound message gave no further info. Maybe someone here knows something...?

Brasserie Jo does a lovely breakfast. Good potatoes and hollandaise, lots of coffee refills.

Brasseri Jo would work for either.

Are you against walking to the South End? It's so much better than the Back Bay.

I like Eastern Standard and Island Creek but they are a bit of a walk from Back Bay so it depends on whether you want to head out that way. If you say what hotel you are at and how close to it you want to be on Monday, we can give you some other suggestions.

Eastern Standard and/or Island Creek Oyster Bar in Kenmore Sq are both great places and within two minutes walking distance of each other.
