I am planning a five course dinner party and looking for awesome recipes that include ingredients that are thought to have aphrodisiac qualities. Unfortunately my guests don't like oysters or shellfish.

Thanks.

you've got a lot of ingredient options: fig, avocado, banana, chilies, almonds, walnuts, red wine, pomegranate, basil, salmon, chocolate, honey, vanilla, garlic, asparagus...

    some random ideas:
    - green salad with figs, walnuts & pomegranate
    - salmon with basil-walnut pesto
    - salmon with romesco
    - fesenjan
    - duck breast with red wine & figs
    - chili-spiked chocolate tart with honey-vanilla creme anglaise
    - chocolate-banana tart
    - chocolate-fig tart with honey
    - honey banana custard with chocolate sauce
    - chocolate-avocado mousse

Thanks for the suggestions, I love the chocolate-avocado mousse idea!! Any thoughts on a gourmet plated fig appetizer? Keep the ideas coming!

          - broiled fig halves with honey, bleu cheese & aged balsamic - top each with a toasted almond or walnut half (you can also do this as tartlets)
          - prosciutto cups with herbed goat cheese & fresh figs
          - prosciutto-wrapped figs stuffed with goat cheese & almonds or blue cheese & walnuts
          - crostini spread with goat cheese & topped with fig & olive tapenade

Bananas Foster, banana crêpes flambé, or a flamed chocolate fondue?
