Had an unexpected really delicious lunch here this weekend. The restaurant is very tiny but the aromas when you walk in tell the story. We had hummus with warm pita bread that was super fresh. We also had a fatoush salad and it was bright and refreshing with lots of mint, parsley and lemon. Chicken Shawarma plate that was large and really great flavors. We also got some basmati rice that came with grated carrot and orange peel that was so good. What a delicious find!

I'm a fan, too. Also like the kashk bademjan, aash reshteh, the lamb kebab / beef kubideh combo, adas polo, and doogh.

We love Jasmine! They have the best hummus.

It's in Watertown, on the corner of Mount Auburn Street and Lloyd Road, across the street (roughly) from Arax Market.

In the same neighborhood but a worse location for foot traffic, Shiraz is another good Persian option. It's on Bigelow Ave, off Mount Auburn Street a few blocks down.

They do have the best hummus. It's so fresh that it feels like it's made to order. Next time I go I will have to get some lamb or beef because lots of people were ordering it and it smelled so good. I can't wait to go back.
