Thai Idea [San Francisco] - La Lengua Chronicles Part 23
Date Dined: 9/28/12
After Windy mentioned it the other day, I was inspired to try Thai Idea for a quick takeout dinner. I decided against trying fake meat, and went for Massaman Curry with tofu. It's a bit pricy, considering the meal was over $11 for veggie curry and rice. The curry was very liquidy, and contained a variety of veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, carrot). Flavor was decent, but I admit that I added a bit of fish sauce once I was home, which made it taste better. It wasn't even remotely spicy, though I didn't expect it to be too spicy since Massaman generally isn't. I probably won't be rushing back, but I think it could be a good spot for vegetarians who are looking for decent Thai.

Walked by this place yesterday, and saw that they are changing it to be a non-vegan Thai restaurant.
It's now called Sweet Basil, which I think is a branch of an already-existing place in Foster City. See here: https://webpos.wlinformation.com/swee...
The new menu looks fine but kind of generic.
Has anyone been to Sweet Basil in Foster City?
